God made each and everyone of us. When we compare ourselves to others, it offends and hurts God. If God wanted us all to look the same, have the same personality's, and gifts and ability's, then He would have made us the same. But God loves variety, a BIG selection. And He made us in His image (Gen. 1:26-27). So we bring hurt to God when we hate ourselves, and harm our bodies.
Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in Himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, for each one should carry his own load ( Gal. 6:4).
So You can honor God by being good to yourself. By loving yourself and taking care of yourself the best that you can. God is pleased when you do take good care of the body that He created. Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and God's Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple ( 1 CO. 3:16-17). Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body ( 1 CO. 6:19-20).
If you are Doing things to harm your body, God cares, and He doesn't want you to suffer like that. He paid the price for you, so that you could be free of the spirit of torment, which is a spirit of fear. He shed His Blood on the cross so that you could be free! You can be set free, and God wants to set you free! But you have to give your whole self to God, and not hold any part of you back. He cares for you, more than you can fathom.
